Meghan Elliott

Meghan is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized mental health care. She values creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in decisions about their treatment.

Meghan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Delaware, completing her doctoral training as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She later returned to the University of Delaware to complete additional post-master’s education specializing in psychiatric-mental health nursing and became board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Meghan brings over a decade of nursing experience to her practice. Her clinical background includes extensive experience caring for patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions in the hospital setting, along with advanced education and clinical training in both family practice and psychiatric-mental health care. Her diverse background has shaped her appreciation for the close relationship between physical and mental health and the importance of considering the whole person when developing a treatment plan.

Meghan believes mental health treatment should be collaborative and individualized to each person’s needs, experiences, and goals. She strives to combine evidence-based psychiatric care with open communication, education, and shared decision-making so that patients feel comfortable asking questions and participating actively in their care.
